GOVERNMENT

The San Luis Valley is comprised of six counties: Alamosa, Conejos, Costilla, Mineral, Rio Grande, and Saguache counties.  There are twenty-two municipalities with the largest being the City of Alamosa. 

Other governmental agencies located in the San Luis Valley include the U.S. Forest Service, Bureau of Land Management, U.S. Fish and Wildlife, and Colorado State Wildlife.
